We are a Leftist Collective of Authors. Capitalism is killing millions of people a year and it is killing the spirit of those us trapped in the U.S., as the country grows more and more fascist. Our goal is to counter the stories of "work hard, spend all of your pay on essentials, and die broke" of the Western Media by putting a different kind of narrative out there. The Ownership of Media is a concerning part of Late Stage Capitalism. With the rigged leverage of TikTok to Larry Ellison's media behemoth (CBS/Paramount), one can see the oligarchs and fascist right in the US Government salivating to control the media messaging to the American populace. Corporate media is controlled by 6 companies (GE-VIACOM-DISNEY-NEWSCORP-AT&T-CBS) and our Social Media is now controlled by 3 Tech Bros (MUSK-ZUCKERBERG-ELLISON). If one has original or progressive idea that runs counter to their capital interests they will hunt it down and exterminate it. This is not i-net raving or conspiracy theory land, this is the flow of information controlled by its owners/masters. Since we see AI being owned by variations of these same players, one can imagine that the "work 40+ hours until you croak" model of American Labor relations will get worse! With some chat bot replacing everything from customer service to university professors in the next few years, and the limitations of acceptable speech/ideas/discourse shrinking as well with these groups placing a stranglehold on all information channels. We have precedence for this in the GILDED AGE of the 1900-1920's. When WM Randolph Hearst controlled the information half the US consumed, through his control of the newspaper industry... and we can see the economic lies and political folly of that era made realized by Heart and his fellow Information Elite Class.
The first step in handling a crisis is to recognize you are in one. THE HOUSE IS ON FIRE! The oligarchs control the government, the economy and the information. That is a crisis. LEAVE OR FIGHT THE FIRE! Many people are choosing the first, and I get it. There are better less fascist places on earth. The American electrorate have become sheep that think because they get to choose gate 1 or gate 2 in the slaughter house, that they will get a different result. Its too late when the hammer falls to recognize you were mislead. But, questioning every piece of info you see is exhausting and to what end? Are Americans really ready for a real revolution or just another reactionary racist civil war? Can we help prepare the United States with our writing?
